Nowdays, he likes to construct new things and to refurbish old things while remaining active. Some of these include:
-
the design & construction of a backyard (permaculture) productive garden and a native habitat space;
-
helping to regenerate native bushland in public spaces: Perrin Creek & Seven Hills Bushcare, Minnippi Creek Wildlife Corridor, Ekibin Creek Bushcare, Arnwood Place Tamborine National Park and Jollys Lookout (section of D’Aguilar National Park) ;
-
building simple computer systems and networks;
-
maintaining an academic interest in reflective learning and public school leadership;
-
writing journals and photo blogs;
-
learning to ethically source and prepare food; and

This website was written on the unceded land of the Turrbal and Yuggera people who have lived beside Maiwar (Brisbane River) and next to Keralgerie & Minnippi Creeks for thousands of years.
