This clump of Cunjevoi (Alocasia brisbanensis, also known as “Elephant’s Ears)” was planted about two years ago (2010), right next to Ekibin Creek. The plants have survived and propagated despite long dry periods as well as floods, so they are well adapted to this environment. They form an attractive display in the course of the creek that stands in contrast to the relatively dry woodland environment near and above the banks.
